It seems a certain Democratic nominee-wannabe has caught the evil eye of . . . The Bitter Waitress:
Tipper's Name: John KerryRestaurant: Chart House
Where it happened: Alexandria, VA
Total bill / Tip amount / Percentage: $262.60 / $0.00 / 0%
What happened:
June 5, 04 Kerry, his wife, 4 unknown suits - We were happy to seat them in a semi-private area and gave them the same excellent service as we would give anyone - then got stiffed!
I seem to recall Hillary Clinton doing the same thing while running for the Senate. Ah, yes, here it is.
What is it with these cheapskate Tribunes of the People?

I almost always tip a large amount, cause I know what it's like to live off tips. At the same time, I refuse to subscribe to the notion that I must tip a large amout to even the rudest, bitchiest, most assholish people. If someone's just merely slow or standoffish, they still get a nice tip. But if they're downright rude, then forget it baby.
I also resent the system where the government slashes minimum wage of service workers earning tips, and then taxes them on tips whether earned or not. Basically, they're throwing the ball back into our court, saying you HAVE to tip cause we're not going to pay these people a living wage so it's up to you.
Tips should return to being what they were originally intended as: extra money in recognition of good service.
P.S. Live rocks.
